Picked this up recently in a trade as I hadn't had anything from Hoof Hearted in quite some time. The ABV listed on the can was 9.0%, and not 8.0% as listed here, but it was impossible to detect the alcohol in this either way as this felt more like dessert than an Imperial IPA!
No surprise that this had a turbid peach hue to it given the flavor that was most prominent here. Lots of spindly, bubbly head topped it off as the bigger ones rose to the top quickly, as the head was more reminiscent of soda than beer. Lots of funky pineapple, peach rind, apricot, goose berry, and dank hops in the nose as the milk sugar and grape really emerged once this fully warmed up. Couldn't pick out the vanilla in this at all as the interesting array of Azacca, Motueka, and Falconer's Flight ensured that this would be slick, tropical, and a bit exotic like wine. Some heavy tangerine and cream stuck around in the aftertaste as this was balanced, nicely carbonated, and a smooth sipper in the end.
The latter was because of the recessed feel of the alcohol but at the same time, this was not completely sweet as the milk sugar took just enough of the edge off of this beer to make it easily enjoyable. Canned on 3/30, this held up well over the last two months as it was plenty fresh and dank underneath the surface. Some more lacing and aroma would have added to the sensory appeal of this beer but as it was, it was worth ending the day with and taking the time to enjoy!

This one pours a very hazy and bright creamy looking orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells, well, like peach- the juiciest peach ever. This has less of the raw hoppiness I usually get from Hoof Hearted- it's smooth citrusy hops on the nose for me here.
The taste is the same as the aroma. The peach addition really smoothed the beer out- this has a creamy peach creamsicle feel, with a light grassy bitterness, and some mango as well.
This is light bodied, but substantial enough, with a creamy and inviting mouthfeel.
I don't usually like Hoof Hearted or fruited IPAs. So imagine my surprise when I actually liked this beer.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big peach, pineapple, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus zest, vanilla, light pepper/pine, honey, cream, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/tropical/citrus hops, peaches, vanilla, lactose, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge peach, pineapple, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus zest, vanilla, light pepper/pine, honey, cream, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of peach, pineapple, apricot, lemon, lime, orange, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus zest, vanilla, light pepper/pine, honey, cream, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus hops, peaches, vanilla, lactose, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/grainy/silky, and lightly sticky/tangy mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 9%. Overall this a fantastic NE DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus hops, peaches, vanilla, lactose, and pale malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, from the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank hops and fruits; with an amazing soft silky mouthfeel, as I was hoping for. Great malt body without being sweet/heavy feeling. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

1 PINT can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours like pineapple juice. It is yellow and very turbid. It is topped with an inch of white head that leaves very little lacing.
The smell is tropical fruit along with the peach being quite evident.
The taste is strong tropical fruit, but the peach is not hidden. It comes through as well. I really don't get the vanilla.
The lactose is more evident in the mouthfeel creating a full, smooth body.
This is a pretty delicious beer. It is juicy with plenty of peach, and it goes down way easy.

This one surprised the shit out of me. It was a value add in a trade and I'm so glad I had the other guy throw it in! It pours a light, hazy orange, with a white creamy head that holds on for nice lacing. The aroma is classic HH in terms of the malty notes. It's fruity and leans into the peach notes, I don't pick up any vanilla in the nose. The flavors are very juicy. It's not just peach, though. You get some tropical notes along with some winey characteristics. Again, no vanilla that's noticeable, however I feel like the soft round flavors are somewhat in thanks to the vanilla and lactose. The feel is soft and very silky. No way this drinks like a 9% beer. Overall, this is fantastic and another nice surprise from HH. I also gotta say that I love how they keep the movie "Better Off Dead" alive through their beer names and can art.
