"I want to wash that man right outta my hair," Trevor sung into the mic as he made a break towards the bar top. "...And send him on his way!"

Swinging around the shoulders of a stout and increasingly indignant older Japanese woman, he lost his grip and fell face first over the bar and into a mound of Galaxy hops. Just when you thought he'd be down for the count, a hairy set of knuckles emerged over the surface of the counter top. In it's grasp was half a Mai Tai with a microphone as garnish.

"But they made me wear a wristband!" he screamed as the waitstaff fireman-carried him out to the parking lot and back into the wild.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bright stone fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright stone fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

A - Appearance is a pale yellow, hazy to the point the brew is translucent only. Pour delivers a huge head, taking several pours to empty the can into my pint glass. That head fades slowly, leaving a thick, fluffy cap. Lots of fine bubbled lacing coats the glass walls.

S - Pungent nose of pineapple, lemony citrus, and sharp herbal and grassy notes. A hint of dank hops lingers around the edges.

T - A brisk open of pineapple juice, papaya and passionfruit tropicality, followed by a quick drop off into a more standard pale ale profile, moderate malt and lemon and resin hops, leading into a bitter bite and sour fruit trail in the close.

M - Weight is moderate, decent carbonation, a slight build of hop chewiness, and a prickly finish.

O - An interesting hazy pale, with a lot going on. Tasty and fun, but not quite as approachable as the ABV and hop profile would suggest. The spikiness is not bad, but it makes this less of a beer to stack up 2-3 in a single session and more one to enjoy as an opener, or, as the name suggests, a nice way to close out the evening.

1 PINT can
Served in a tulip glass

This beer pours pale yellow and turbid. It is topped with a mountain of off white head that leaves rocky lacing.

Light citrus and melon aroma.

Light tropical fruit flavor with some melon. A little grapefruit in the finish.

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

Easy drinker. Light summer beer.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on December 21, 2019. The amount of Galaxy hops in this beer will start your taste buds a rockin’.

Had on tap. A fairly mediocre NEIPA-style pale ale. Some citrus and tropical fruit, but also a vegetal harshness as if the hops are too "green." Mouthfeel is full but again slightly harsh. Disappointing.
