16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of lactose, vanilla, cream, caramel and some saltiness. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with lots of vanilla and cream. Mild bitterness.

In an attempt to stand out in any way possible, Hoof Hearted looks to the ridiculous but somewhat appealing fast food combination of frosty chocolate shake and french fries for an IPA of imperial status to take the cake on gimmick beer.
Drop the Fries pours a rich and turbid banana-yellow matte finish while building a creamy white froth to sell the appearance of banana cream pie very well. Aromas of tropical fruit, heavy cream, citrus and herb decorate the nose while the taste opens up cereal-sweet, cloying and wrapped in a poundcake consistency.
As the dense ale stretches across the middle palate, the pastry-sweet taste drags the tropical fruit of pineapple, passionfruit and mango along with it. Hints of orange and lemon follow along with a fruity taste that skirts over the grain sweetness. Trending herbal with hemp, spruce and lemon pepper, a tea-like attempt to balance falls short of completion. There's a hint of salinity and a dash of pudding that claim to emulate that frosty & french fry character.
Full bodied, plush and sweet, it takes a real sweet tooth to appreciate a full 16oz can as its mouthfeel and residual sugars make drinking a rather tall task. Finishing cloyingly sweet and with a fruit cocktail finish, the beer lingers long with cereal, cream, aspartame and powdered sugar.

This is one of the oddest beers I've ever tasted - in a good way! It's supposed to recreate the flavor of dipping french fries into a frosty in IPA form. As impossible as that sounds, they're actually successful, and I think the beer definitely holds up gimmick aside.

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours a murky, baby poop yellow color. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves little lacing.
The smell is equal parts tropical and citrus fruit and chocolate. I do not smell freedom fries.
The taste starts out with chocolate. The citrus comes in through the middle. There is some tropical fruit. All the elements meld together favorably.
Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel
I never took notice of the ingredients when I purchased this beer. After reading them before I opened it I was a little apprehensive. It turns out that my fears were unwarranted, and this is a very good beer. I gather that it is supposed to capture the essence of dipping one's fry into a Frosty. Luckily, I did not taste any fries in this beer. But I do crave me some Wendys now.
