Served in a sour glass
This beer pours golden and crystal clear without much head. It kind of looks like cider in my glass.
The smell is sour with green apple and a little funk.
The taste is quite sour, which is a good thing for my palate. I get sour apple and vinous flavors first. As the initial jolt to the palate subsides I get some stonefruit flavor with lingering sourness. It leaves my mouth watering and eager for another sip.
Thin bodied with low carbonation. Slightly dry finish.
Although it is undercarbonated the sourness and fruity flavor quickly make me forget about that. This is an unexpectedly nice sour from Hoof.
