I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy smoothie golden with very thin white ring head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had dank ripe fruit and fruit peel spice notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with smooth tropical fruit smoothie presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

When does "push" come to "shove"? When Hoof Hearted Brewing set out with their original South of Eleven recipe, they push the imperial status ale in Triple IPA to great heights. But now with the triple hop action of Mosaic hops and that not so gentle nudge shoves the taste into dank and dedicated taste.
South of Eleven 666 is a beer made for great depths of flavor as the turbidly matte stained taupe beer makes an appealing introduction with a forthcoming eggshell froth. Its radiant bouquet is uniquely of tropical fruit, dark berries, dank herbs and a hint of mint. As the malts generously coat the tongue, its initial taste is of caramel, gently toasted shortcake and cashew.
As the pressure from the malts gradually lift, the hops roll onto the middle palate with a racy tropical taste of passionfruit, gooseberry, kiwi and then the racy citrus taste of lime. As a mix of green berries and blueberries mingle on the tongue the radiance of sherbet comes to mind. Reaching a creamy sweet bitterness late on the palate, a peppery twinge of mint, hemp and tropical fruit peels make their way into the finish.
Full bodied and finishing slightly on the malty side of malty-dry, the beer's spice of sprucy gin and peppery vodka warms the tastebuds and is then soothed by the linger of sweet cereal malts. A long and bittersweet aftertaste gives the Mosaic hops their full and due justice.

Pours a murky orange with a dull hue that mimics a slightly over-ripe orange fruit. Head is a finger of white foam that retains decently well. Aroma is papaya, mango, tangerine, guava, resiny, herbal and dank hops. It has a bit of hop bite to it, which contradicts the initial sweetness. Flavor profile is tangerine, mango, papaya, banana, guava, orange, lemon zest and herbal, dank hops. It's jammed full of hop qualities, both citrusy and sweet and zesty with a bite. There is a slight hop bite at the end that introduces a little bitterness to counter the initial sweetness. A light boozy quality adds a check and balance to the initial sweetness as well. Mouth feel is full with a medium-thick to thick consistency that includes a little pulpy grain to it. Overall, thick and full with a heavy load of hops, this is an NE IPA that is just jammed to the gills with action. As the ABV and can labeling would suggest, this beer is huge.

Pours slightly brownish orange, more orange than brown. Nose is citrus and taste is like a flavor bomb. Bitter still even if it is a New England style. Great beer
