Double-mashed Imperial Stout conditioned on an absurd amount of roasted hazelnut, vanilla, Hoof coffee, and a touch of milk sugar.

Slightly less than a fingers worth of late developing ultra fizzy dark khaki colored froth that quickly dissipates... What's left is a completely and utterly still sleek black... Nose of coffee, hazelnut and vanilla... Pleasant enough but somewhat straight forward... Flavor profile packs a bit more of a punch... All the expected flavors are there but is dialed up a notch or two... Good depth and complexity... Feel is medium to full bodied and quite smooth... Silky with a touch of a chalky finish... Very nice well rounded brew that I would gladly welcome in the future... Hides the 13.5% ABV exceptionally well...

16 ounce can, 2022 vintage. Purchased at the brewery 2-3 months ago. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice and sweet, the brew smells like vanilla, cognac, maple, nuts, coffee, roasted malt and cream. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some hazelnut, burnt/charred malt, dark bread and oaky flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's coating and creamy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it was a good sweeter tasting imperial stout and certainly worth trying if you get the chance!

day 3 of the craft central advent calendar, first big big beer, for all the sweet adjuncts this still manages to be a pretty malt forward beer, meaty malt, molasses, liquorice, caramel, vanilla, fig, raisin, cherry, oaky, marshmallow, maple syrup, espresso, high bitterness, full bodied and low carb, motor oil thickness, somehow it still manages to be a bit subdued, not maybe as intense as you’d want a 13.5 imperial stout to be, still pretty good though

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74---Cheers Dude!
This solid brew pours a pitch black with a moderate head of brown foam that
settles to a thick ring with faint lacing and nice legs! Nose of cognac, dark chocolate,
dark rich coffee, char, brulee, and rich hazelnut. Flavors follow with some exceptions
with layers of roasted hazelnuts dashed with maple, cognac, bourbon hints, dark espresso
coffee, dark bakers chocolate, brulee, and balanced char and roast. Nice mouth feel;
full slick body, smooth, light carbonation, rich, warming, and finishing with a balanced
bitter malt note.
Overall----VERY NICE!
Cheers

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass. Pours jet black with a half finger mocha head that leaves little lace. 4.25
Aroma is deep dark chocolate, coffee grounds, vanilla bean, and toffee. 4.25
Taste follows dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and toffee very well balanced. 4.25
Mouthfeel is a little above average, gentle carbonation, a little sticky, and for 13.5% you a little sweetness but the alcohol is well hidden. 4
Overall I would say worth a try, but I payed $28 for a 4 pack. I liked it. 4

Served in a snifter glass from the can.
Appearance: thick dark body resembling espresso with a dark hand head which initially Rose half of finger's length off the body.
Smell: it smells like warm chocolate chip cookies, it lingers in the nose with hints of coffee bean.
Taste: you know this beer is the true definition of a hazelnut infused beer, Mexican horchata from the can, mocha with hints of smooth coffee and touch of creamy vanilla.
Mouth: medium carbonation with a ridiculously full body coming off ridiculously sticky to the palate.
Overall: incredible beer very strong and literally almost put me to sleep. Yes that strong!

Pours thick and opaque black from the can with a mocha-colored head. Rich nose of coffee and roast, lots of impressions of lactose sweetness, vanilla, and hazelnut, as well as chocolate and a very present cinnamon/spice characteristic which the can doesn't list as an adjunct...very rich, smooth and sweet without being cloying...thick body, hidden alcohol...just delicious.

Poured a black body with almost no head at all. The aroma has good notes of coffee with touches of hazelnut and chocolate. Beer is thick, sticky, has a well-hidden booze alongside notes of lactic slickness that make beer not difficult to drink. Has some nuttiness in it and the beer has a mild coffee dryness that aids to a dry finish.

1 PINT can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of fleeting mocha head.
There is a lot going on here. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, hints of cognac. The hazelnut opens up as it warms.
Coffee forward. Milk chocolate. Vanilla. The booze comes out as it approaches room temperature. Hints of hazelnut.
Full bodied with a smooth, viscous mouthfeel
I'm a big fan of cognac barrel aged beer. This one is fantastic. One of the better BA stouts that I have had from Hoof.
