Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass. Canned August 31 2022.
An insane frothing but big bleach white head that come grabbing out like a claw off the glass. One of the most palest lager bodies I have seen, beyond straw and green looking with a hint of haze and lots of fine linear carbonation.
Herbal with a string floral presence on the nose. Mixes a little bit of tea aromas in the hop angle also. Real kind of pungent and perfume like, but certainly in the lager realm and style deep end.
The palate does make a good impression. Solid malt backbone, with depth and even more so a classic hint of bakery breadiness on the finish. Hop angle comes with an uncharacteristic note but a nice surprising one. There's a soapy perfume quality to this, mixed with classic green noble herbs but it is really different. Shockingly doesn't seem to have the big fruit profile of the added Citra hops. There's a unique lingering tongue of faint orange but just barely in this well set pils here.
This is a real unique brew, and worthy of it's name, and somewhat dysfunctional nature. Enjoyable that's for sure.
