Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass not sure when it was canned. Pours midnight black on a cloudy cool Fall evening, with a finger plus mocha head that leaves behind some thin wisps of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Smell is deep dark chocolate, vanilla bean, subtle coffee grounds, and heath bar. 4.5

Taste follows dessert beer all the way, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and heath bar really hides the 12% amazingly. 4.5

Mouthfeel is big, gentle carbonation, maybe a little dry as you would expect, and for its size amazingly approachable. 4.5

Overall this is a really impressive stout. Roasty, bold, and flat out tasty. Really enjoying this stuff. 4.5

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head that starts fizzy, but ends up having great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, graham crackers and cocoa. Flavor is semi-sweet, dark toasted malt, vanilla and milk chocolate; chocolate/vanilla finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; great creamy mouth feel. Not sure what double mashed is, but if it is what gives this its thick, smooth body, I want to see it again. Both the flavor and mouth feel are reminiscent of a whipped hot chocolate made with high quality chocolate. I usually don't like beers that are vanilla forward, but this one has a distinct, clear vanilla character, but it is well supported by the chocolatey malt. Nicely done.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger high dark tan head that gradually died down but never completely faded away, also leaving lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of vanilla are present in the nose along with notes of semisweet chocolate.
T: The taste follows the smell, except the chocolatey flavors are a bit stronger and also contribute a good amount of sweetness.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout makes for a nice dessert beer with its sweet flavors of vanilla and chocolate. I found it to be remarkably drinkable for a beer that is 12% abv as no alcohol is perceptible in the taste.

Looks like it was added to the website today. A very dark beer with creamy tan lacing. Smell is sweet vanilla and roasted dark malt. Taste has a very velvety sweet vanilla on the forefront with a slightly bitter roasted dark malt undertone. Medium bodied, slight oiliness, boozy presence. Pretty good.
