Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with a fleeting deep mocha head that leaves no trace.
It has a lovely coffee and cream smell. I get roasted malt, chocolate, and hints of booze.
The taste backs up the smell. Coffee and vanilla right off the bat. I get some chocolate. There is some mild coffee bitterness in the finish. Just enough to not make it too sweet.
Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel
I have only tried a few Black is Beautiful beers. This is probably the best of what I have had.
