Picked up a four pack of cans at Bow Street Beverage in Wells, Maine for about eighteen dollars. My third brew from these guys. Canned on date of 11/11/24 (oops, on the very bottom left corner of label, tough to find). Solid, would like to try fresh, but not distributed to MA.

From the bottom of the can: "03/01/22 12:12"
Appearance: The body is opaque but appears a tad less opaque at the edges of the glass. The body has a dull orange and manilla envelope color. The head is thick, large, white, and fluffy. It has very good retention and nice wisps of lacing.
Aroma: It has a pleasant aroma of grapefruit and mint. The aroma is moderately strong. It smells good.
Taste: It tastes like hop bine oil up front, then there is a bit of vegetal character in the middle with a very light sweet bread taste. Slightly grassy at the end. There is a bit of a peppermint candy flavor that starts to develop when drinking multiple sips, which really elevates the flavor more than previously mentioned.
Mouthfeel: It feels thick and full bodied when drinking it but it tapers towards medium on the finish. Low bitterness.
Overall: The flavors and aromas are pretty good. It is somewhat grassy with some vegetal characters but it has an interesting mint flavor and aroma which some might find attractive. I could drink it again in a situation where there might be limited variety, and I would recommend it to those who like more herbal and minty hop characters.

16oz can pours out hazy straw gold with a creamy off-white head; lots of citrus and tropical fruit, pretty strong mango with a pithy bite reminiscent of grapefruit peel, some melon qualities as well...hints of an earthy green quality and a decent bitterness underneath all that. Good stuff.

16oz can dated 3/30/22.
Pours cloudy gold with two inches of fluffy white head. Plenty of tattered lacework and persistent retention. Mango, peach, pineapple in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy, soft mouthfeel. Tropical citrus on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Pineapple, peach, and mango. Finishes juicy and ripe.

Seeing that we all need a break from the inflated prices of everything, Hoof Hearted offers us some discounted nachos. Where no tortillas, cheese or jalapenos are offered, their hazy, double dry-hopped IPA would be worth paying a little extra.
Pale ale gold and carrying a heavily translucent silt, Discount Nachos layers with a blanket of cottony white froth before drawing the nose with a rife and radiant fruit medley. Bold citrus, tangy green tropical fruit, herb, hemp and green tea all lead into a creamy and sweet taste of cereal, biscuit and light agave with its first impressions on the tongue.
The hops quickly win out as they outlast the sweeter malts on the middle palate. Where the scent lead with citrus, the bulk of taste is tropical and orchard varieties of papaya, guava, apricot and peach. A backdrop of orange and red grapefruit add zesty taste and a slight pithy bitterness. As hints of gooseberry, passionfruit and mango show promise, the beer trends moderately bitter with a smooth cedar-like bite and bolder flavors of peppery green tea.
Fuller in body for IPA, the cereal grains resist a transition to dryness or crispness by holding the resinous character to the sweeter side of bitter-sweet. A hint of botanical gin comes along with the tea-like balance with a slightly warming finish and an medium-long aftertaste of citrus, hemp and herbal teas once more.

One of the better New England style IPA is on the market right now. Pours a luscious golden color like orange juice with a frothy head. The nose is straight up citrus. Taste is smooth and awesome for lack of a better word. Great Beer!
