Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with not much head.
The smell is chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
The taste is coffee, chocolate, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon. It says it is bourbon barrel aged. The flavors might be lessened to do the aging, but I get no evidence in the flavor of bourbon barrel aging.
Full bodied with a viscous mouthfeel
If "Bourbon Barrel Aged" was not on the label I would never have guessed this beer was even in the same zip code as a barrel of bourbon. That said the base beer is good. I have to deduct for lack of barrel though.
