This excellent dessert done right pours a coal black with a unique
purple tinged brown head of foam that settles to a thin ring, but with a
subtle stir she has some mighty fine legs. Nose of oatmeal cream pies, bourbon,
chocolate, rich bourbon, vanilla, and oak dashed with char. Flavors hit the
mark with dark chocolate, I swear oatmeal cream pie from Little Debbie keeps coming
to mind, char, bourbon, oak, vanilla cream, brulee, and char. Mouth feel is very nice
with full body, smooth, rich, coating, warming, and finishing sweet without being cloying.

Overall, another big WOW brew from one of the masters of big beer!

16 ounce can, 2022 vintage stated on label. Served in a Hoof Hearted Teku, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch cola-like tan head that fizzled away kinda quickly. Small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like Oreo cookies, dark bread, vanilla, dark chocolate, cream, coffee and some bourbon. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt, oak, marshmallow and earthy flavors noticeable. Barrel character is there but not too strong either, but with that being said it could be overpowered a bit by all the other flavors in this brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. Sure doesn't seem like it's 13.5% ABV. I liked this brew, it's a good, enjoyable barrel aged imperial stout! Definitely worth trying if you come across some.
