#TIPAThursday. Good 3x NE ipa w/thick haze; less hoppiness than you'd expect from a 3X; nice mouthfeel; a subtle citrusy/fruity/juicy flavor & a clean, barely-there finish. Very dangerously smooth & quaffable for a 9.5%er but

16 oz can
Hazy yellow gold color with a creamy white head. Good retention. Leaves a few splotches of lacing.
Aroma has huge notes of peach and pineapple, as well as orange marmalade and grapefruit.
Taste follows the nose. Lots of stone fruit and candied citrus. There's some light pine on the finish.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth. Alcohol is well-hidden.
Great hazy IPA. I normally find higher ABV NEIPA's to be far too sweet and boozy but this is nicely balanced and dangerously drinkable.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, guava and sweet caramel. Great tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a sharp piney bitterness.

From the pint can, it pours a milky amber color with a very nice, long lasting, lacing leaving, white head. The nose gets a pleasant citrus scent, followed by the mouth getting a starting citrusy zing followed by malt and a lingering slightl;y sour aftertaste, like a nice lemon gives.

Poured from a 16 ounce undated can into a snifter at 47 degrees.
Look- Straw, very hazy to the point of opacity, large visible particulate at the margins, slightly off white creamy head, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Clementine, pine resin, slightly dank, pineapple, papaya, between medium and high strength of scent.
Taste- Clementine, pine resin, moderately boozy, nectarine, pineapple, papaya, herbaceous, moderate sweetness, high strength of flavor.
Feel- Full body, below average carbonation, soft, moderate bitterness, moderate alcohol burn, moderately mouth warming, moderate sweetness, mild astringency, mildly dry finish.
Overall- Straw and opaque with large visible particulate at the margins and above average head retention and lacing. Nose was a nice mix of clementine, pine resin, dank, pineapple and papaya. The flavor was similar with nectarine that I couldn’t detect in the aromatics. Full bodied with some moderate alcohol burn and mild astringency. Overall this beer delivered an excellent drinking experience. Beer lacked a packaged on date, which almost caused me to miss out on a great beer.

Straw cloudy, yellow in color. Vibrant white head. Nose of mango and pineapple. Taste is a menagerie of citrus flavors. Soft feel across palate. Not much bitterness

Supersized and gaining more power as the hazy game goes on, Hoof Hearted's favorite ape is jumping for joy.
Like straight grapefruit juice with extra pulp, the appearance of Konkey Dong 4UP Evolution- Equiatic Ape Theory comes with a creamy meringue froth that thwarts an aromatic bouquet that's redolent of citrus, tropical fruit and herb. With the initial taste being nearly tangy and sweet, those notions of fruit juice just keep on coming through a dense poundcake taste and texture, and then drizzled with honey.
The tide of potpourri and citronella begins to turn as the malt sweet upstart shifts from honey, grain sweetness and fructose, and more toward the citrus flavors of grapefruit, orange and lemon. Trending herbal, grassy and chivvy, an earthiness ensues with hints of peppery gin, lemongrass and verbena. Much like earlier versions, bitterness eventually settles in with those citrus pithiness and an burgeoning wood character of cedar and sassafras.
Full bodied and more malty than dry, the bright and juicy ale is tantalizing with citrusy, tangy hops impressions and a dank balancing bitterness. The peppery bite of alcohol lurking in the background all work to dry the finish, making us forget its large-than-life booze within. An afterglow of torn pine and cannabis trail in a long afterglow of hop spice and fruit peel
