Poured from a tall "big boy" can.
Hazy, straw-colored beer with a thick, rocky, off-white head. Strong citrus hops aromas, with some pine and woody notes. Flavors are also packed with citrus hops at a massive bitterness level, but there is also a significant honey-like sweetness that moderates the effect. The mouthfeel is fairly thick, which matches the sweetness, but the finish is drier than might be expected. Slightly boozy alcohol level. I enjoy this beer, but it is a bit of an outlier for the Imperial IPA it is billed as, because of the unusually high alcohol and sweetness. If there were such a thing as an American Golden Strong Ale, maybe this would be one.

Another unexpected pleasure from Prairie Artisan Ales. Highlights for this one = (1) absolutely wonderful citrusy smell and taste that dissipates slowly; (2) enough sweetness that the 100 IBU doesn’t punch you in the face; (3) it looked beautiful when I poured it and the lovely head didn’t just up and disappear; (4) not gonna lie, the name & label art are enchanting, too. I’ve really enjoyed Prairie’s stouts, but this IPA definitely hit the spot, and it comes in a 19.2 oz Big Boy can, too!

Fantastic triple IPA at a good price. I pay $4.99 for a 19.2 oz can. 11% ABV. This has become my go-to beer for the last few months. Check the canning date on the bottom, make sure it's no more than 4-6 weeks old.
It's both crisp and smooth. It's juicy, but not overly juicy. It's absolutely loaded with hops and you can very much taste it, but it still doesn't overwhelm you with bitterness. Nice malt action going on, they got the balance perfect and the amount of sweetness is right on the money, just enough. All the flavors melt together in your mouth and linger for a bit, it's a really well-made beer and dangerously drinkable for it's alcohol content.
They didn't go crazy with adjuncts here, which I appreciate. It's just an extremely well-balanced, delicious IPA. Prairie nailed it. I've paid a lot more money for far worse beers before. They could double the price and I'd keep buying.
The 88/100 rating here surprises me. 95/100 if it were up to me.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a quite hazy medium gold with a persistent off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is juicy orange, pink grapefruit, malty sweetness, and a subtle pine bitterness. Alcohol is surprisingly well hidden. Mouthfeel is smooth, soft, and quite hefty. Finish fades to slightly sweet citrus. Overall, a quite enjoyable DIPA.

Very hazy amber color with a respectable and lasting white head with plenty of nice lacing.
The aroma is caramel, citrus, mango, pineapple.
The taste is caramel malt, tangerine, grapefruit, mango and pineapple, slightly sweet, slightly tart, nice. The finish is dry with lingering citrus zest and pine resin, with moderate + bitterness, more than balancing out earlier sweetness.
The body is medium/full, plenty of carbonation, fairly smooth and dangerously easy to drink. Altogether, this is tasty and refreshing, definitely for the hops lovers but not overbearing, still enjoyable.

19.2oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, guava and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Crowler @ Prairie Artisan OKC. Pours a medium copper color with very minimal head or lacing. Triple hopped IPA with 100 IBU rating. This is a serious IPA for serious IPA-lovers: it’s all there. It’s been awhile since I’ve had one, but this reminds me of Roughtail’s Hoptometrist. This one may be a little more easy on the palate. Definitely would revisit this beer, and this has stiffened my resolve to go after Hoptometrist again. 10.7% ABV
