This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like pure and utter maple heaven, with a touch of coffee and chocolate, but mostly just so much maple.
I like maple, so this tastes pretty good to me, but it's essentially like the scene in Super Troopers where they're chugging maple syrup in the diner. That's what this beer tastes like. Double maple doesn't even begin to describe how much maple is here - it absolutely overwhelms everything here. There's a little bit of barrel, and the coffee just barely holds its head above the water in this incoming maple tsunami.
This is medium bodied and quite syrupy, with no booziness whatsoever.
This is a little bit overboard and out-of-control, and definitely too sweet. I like maple, but as a beer itself, it kind of fails.
