The beer is very dark brown, near black, color. No head, no lace.
Aroma of chocolate, roasted coconut, and vanilla.
Taste of chocolate brownie, roasted coconut, vanilla, hint of whiskey.

On draft at International Tap House. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of coconut, chocolate, toffee and vanilla. Very sweet with toasted coconut, milk chocolate and a mild bitterness.

Bottled 10/25/2023, and all Prairie Ale stouts were $4 off where I buy my singles.
Poured into my collectible 2018 Founders KBS glass, only beige foam floated on top.
The boozy nose is of vanilla fudge.
Flavor: coconut and fudge with a slight oak slat note.
The mouthfeel is over-medium thick and sticky.
Finish: Smooth with a little backbite and a low burn.

L: Pours a thick near-black chocolate brown. Fudge-like complexion. No appreciable head, nor lacing or retention. However, there does appear to be a light bubbling occurring around the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, this beer has a crunchy dark brown hue.
S: The coconut and sweet chocolate are apparent, and there is a faint whiff of whiskey.
T: Medium sweetness. Coconut, whiskey barrel, and chocolate as well as almond. Some faint cake mix. Lots of cacao, fudge. Liquified brownie almost.
F: Full-bodied. Thick, velvety mouthfeel. Sticky and oily. Low carbonation.
O: Sweet pastry stout. As dessert beers go, pretty good. Prairie hits yet again.

Served in chalice from the bottle here at cervecería Esparte here in Conil, Spain.
Appearance: Deep motor oil body with a dark tan head which had an initial rise of maybe half a fingers length off the body.
Smell: Chocolate aroma which dissipates quickly.
Taste: Cacao nibs and melted chocolate. Rich whiskey notes mixed with hints of brownie like properties.
Mouth: Sticky body. Soft carbonation. The aftertaste is like brown on mud. Just doesn't leave you.
Overall: awesome grab. Tasty and crazy rich brew. Goes best with whatever you had for dinner this brew becomes your dessert. Salud!

Prairie! I miss when they arrived in MSP & flooded the market with great barrel-aged beers; now they arrive in dribs & drabs. Here’s one that sounds decadent in a 12 oz. bottle.
Deep black, with the head of a beer half its ABV. Nose is surprisingly light; slick chocolate.
Amazingly, Indulge Me manages to kick out near-exact chocolate cake vibes. This would make great freeze-pops. Low, slow swell of chocolate with a nice side of bourbon with a thickness about it that echoes a good flourless cake. Coconut is subtle backing. No booze at all. Thick; but a pastry stout? I think not. Good enough & balanced enough that I could take a couple in one sitting. If forced.
Expected this to be soooooo sweet & turned out to be anything but. Excellent beer.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle dated 10-25-23 into a snifter at 48 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, dark brown sudsy head, below average head retention and lacing, high leg formation on glass wall.
Smell- Whiskey, coconut, slight chocolate, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Whiskey, chocolate cake, coconut, moderately sweet, highly boozy, high strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, slightly below average carbonation, syrup like, highly boozy, moderately sweet, moderately mouth warming, moderately mouth coating, moderately bitter, silky.
Overall- This beer provided a delightful drinking experience. Flavor was a wonderful mix of whiskey, chocolate cake and coconut with great balance. Bouquet was not as strong as I had expected. Look was good, but head retention and lacing were very below average. Feel was nice, but not as full as I would have expected for the promised cake mix.

Bottle. Black color. Tan head that fades quick.
Chocolate, cookies, coconut, fudge, bourbon. Wet oak, bakers spice, some char. Vanilla. Nice flavors here. Warming. Not super thick. Very nice barrel flavored finish.
Prairie still putting out solid BA beers at solid prices.

12oz bottle pours out a massive, inky and sticky pitch-dark black; no head to speak of after 5 seconds. The noze is boozy more than it is sweet, the adjuncts are really there only in impression. Fairly strong vanilla, roasty and grainy overall. Dark chocolate, faint dark caramel that makes me think more of good bourbon than confectionary desserts, the palate is filled with those boozy whiskey flavors and just minor impressions of things like coconut, which I was hoping for more of. Sticky and viscous mouthfeel with a residual fusel-y heat. I had very high hopes for this one and I don't think Prairie delivered here, disjointed and hot.
