Pours a dark brown with no head. Aroma is sweet chocolate & hazelnut. Taste is very sweet hazelnut & a little chocolate with some alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium with a warming alcohol. Strong sipping beer. Very Good. DOB 10-26-2024.

12 ounce bottle, bottled 11.14.2024 stamped on the bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like hazelnuts, coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, bourbon, and a bit of coconut. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt, marshmallow and cacao flavors. Nice balance between all the flavors, no one flavor overpowers the others here but the hazelnut does stand out. There's also a good amount of barrel character. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's smooth, slick and a bit syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, definitely worth picking up especially if you like hazelnut or Prairie imperial stouts in general!

Dark, poor head, wonderful sweet smell. Not as viscous as I thought. Bourbon taste strong up front, then fades. Very drinkable, would pair it with desert. Will hold my second bottle for fall and Halloween parties

Prairie creeping back into MN with their BA stuff & my wallet is here for it. Bottle of 12 ounces dated 10/28/24.
Dirt black, little head. Aroma is hazelnut for days. Good days.
Hazelnut Weekend is all shady bourbon & gritty hazelnut. Oh, you want more? I suppose there's a little coconut & a backing line of sweetness that leans towards the 'mallow, & roasty echo on the finish. Not much apparent alcohol at 13.9%. Full but won't be found next to the donuts. Goes down alarmingly easy. Easily.
Straightforward. Everything listed arrives & plays together with a quiet intensity. A very good benchmark for a barrel aged marshmallow/cocoa nibs/hazelnut coffee stout.

Black opaque body with a brown cap. Smells mostly of chocolate and barrel with hazelnut behind alongside the vanilla. Coffee upfront in the taste is not needed, but the chocolate fudge and hazelnut afterward is amazing, melding into the barrels! Velvet smooth, cool and thick but not too heavy. Full disclosure I love hazelnut, so I thought they nailed the vision in that regard

Big fan of Prairie barrel aged stouts and this one is no exception.
Pastry stout with bourbon, coffee, hazelnut, subtle coconut, marshmallow and chocolate.
Went through a couple bottles of this already and would pick up more.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into an Ankrolab snifter down here in good old Naples Florida visiting my folks for the holiday. Total Wine had a nice selection of Prairie barrel-aged stouts and this one struck me because I love some hazelnut. Pours a thick and shiny black with minimal foam head but a nice layer of chunky coconut floaties. Bourbon, chocolate, hazelnut, coconut and vanilla all in harmony on the nose and taste. You have to be prepared for sweetness but if you are, there’s not many doing it better than Prairie. It’s so balanced. Colder it’s more of the flavor additives but as it warms you get more bourbon, oak and base stout. Full mouthfeel. Thick and with that medium to more level of carbonation in the finish. Damn good weekend variant. Maybe the best.
