Con un sabor bien suave y la calidad super deluxe, this lager is a celebration of old-skool and new-skool traditions. The intent is a crisp, clean beer that takes us back to the chelas clasicas that we were all raised on. What’s new is the quality and balance that makes our handcrafted brews so special. A classic blend of Pilsner malt and flaked corn provide a light, earthy body to the brew. The addition of Mt. Hood hops and Huell Melon hops provide a mild 20 IBU of melon-citrus character. The result is a super-sabroso, super-suave, Tex-Mexican lager with a chill-out factor at 4.4% ABV. ¡Ahora si, échale grito!

From a can. Clear golden color with an inch of white foam. Grassy smell with a little sweetness. Medium body with plenty of carbonation. Malty sweetness with grassy hops and a hint of lime on the finish. Refreshing in hot weather.

Pale yellow with a short white head that dies off to a sparse film pretty quickly in a pint glass.
Starting off somewhat limey, this very light and mild brew contains notes of white corn and a little toast with a mildly herbal bitterness, remaining overall easy to drink, if not a little watery.
Having a pint at the Starlight Theater in Terlingua, TX, this one kind of tastes like a gose or shandy was in the line prior. It may not be the brewery's fault, I don't know, but other reviews don't seem to mention any salinity or citrus tang, although they do mention citrus more broadly. Either way, I've had better "Mexican" lagers.

Wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by this corn variant of the classic Mexican lager. Light, sweet but not too much so, and crushable, I think a single afternoon by the pool will knock out a sixer of this tasty brew. Makes me miss warmer days!

This is listed as an American lager but is really a Mexican lager. It is a good, crisp example of the style. Great effervescence and nice piney taste with a little citrus spice. As expected, goes well with Tex-Mex or a hot day.

pours near-reddish-gold body with an excited white foam head that has low retention but leaves patches of sticky lacing as it settles to a thin halo
aroma is sweet and malty with citrus spritz
taste is sweet and citrusy with lemon and mellow melon, and a low pine hop earthy bitterness in the mix. crisp, grainy, clear. little salinity, little effervescent.
moderately high carbo and lighter side of medium body. crisp and easy with a little salinity.
overall:
little thicker/less carbo'd/heavier than what I've come to associate with the style, but retains the easy and crispness in spades. great take - call it Texican Lager if you will.

Poured from a stovetop can into a pint glass
Appearance- The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is grainy with some notes of caramel. Along with these smells comes a tiny bit of a bready smell and a hint of herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisp grainy and cracker taste mixed with a tiny bit of caramel sweetness. These tastes are the base flavors of the brew and last throughout, where in the end with a little bit of a pine, one is left with a very crisp and crackery malt taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the light crisp tastes of the brew the feel is supurb and makes for a very easy drinker.
Overall – A great more session style brew with a very easy drinking flavor and feel.

Pours amber with a decent head. There is a slight aroma of sweet malt. Carbination is medium as is the body. The flavor is quite unusual for a lager. I guess it is more like a Mexican lager with the citrus already mixed in. Strongest notes are citrus hops and a touch of salt.
