On tap at the brewpub inside California Kebab in Pacific Beach. Handsome golden color in the true pint nonic. I like the crisp white lacing sticking to the glass as you sip. Some funky fruit in the nose. Light body with appealing sudsiness.
A lighter flavor for a Saison. Maybe this is the Biere de Garde and they changed the name after they tasted the final result. Anyway, this stuff is quite well balanced with a well-behaved Belgian yeastiness. There is a pleasant edge of hop, like a very light Pilsener. Altogether, an excellent quaff. Lightly fruity with a rich tanginess. sort of a cross between a Saison and a Blonde ale, which is tops for drinkability.
