Hazy NEIPA | This one’s brewed for the hop-hungry. Think big pineapple energy, citrus zest, and that soft, pillowy mouthfeel that makes each sip feel like floating. But don’t be fooled. It’s still got that bitter backbone keeping things grounded.
Dry-hopped into oblivion with modern American hops, Cloudtown is your ticket to a full-on fruit-forward escape with just enough bite to bring you back. Come get lost in the haze.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From their Hoptastic Voyage 6-pack at The Roundhouse Centre LCBO in nearby Windsor. My third beer from the Ottawa, Ontario brewery, and for 2025. Date stamped April 10/25. With Sundae.

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in Beyond the Pale's Hoptastic Voyage mixed pack; dated Apr 10 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy golden-blonde colour, topped with an inch of bumpy, foamy white head that wilts within three minutes or so. A half-inch band of full lace is distributed evenly around the perimeter, with a frothy cap and collar floating on the surface; looks fine so far. Restrained aromas of lime, pineapple and white peach, with suggestions of grainy, crackery malts and grassy, floral hops.
A decent if unremarkable hazy IPA: it tastes fine, but there's no new tricks up its sleeve. Mellow, fruity notes of lemon, lime peel and pineapple at first, joined by grainy pale malts, steel cut oat sweetness and a hint of melon. Grassy, floral hops, grapefruit pith and some low key resiny bitterness, as well as a light peppery spiciness, round out the tail end, preceding a relatively dry aftertaste. Medium in body, with a mildly assertive carbonation that adds some bite to this brew's soft, fluffy mouthfeel. Great drinkability - I could drink a couple of these in a row, at least in theory.
Final Grade: 3.76, squeaking out a B+. I enjoyed my glass of Cloud Town, though if I'm being honest, it seems like the kind of IPA I'll forget about within a week - or I would, if it weren't for that Simpsons-esque label. The aroma is a little weak, and the flavour profile offers nothing that most hazy IPA lovers won't have come across a dozen times already. The plush mouthfeel does help with drinkability, but beyond that? I could take it or leave it. Give it a try and decide for yourself.
