Like our daily news, we prefer our pilsners to be honest, balanced and refreshing. Brewed in Ottawa, Ontario, this is a light, crisp Pilsner with a dazzling clarity to be consumed alongside your favourite source of propaganda. This is an all-season brew best enjoyed fresh off the press, featuring select German barley and traditional Czech hops.
It pairs well with crosswords, working hard, playing harder and "hanging with the buds."

From a 473ml can packaged on Jan 13 2026. Poured into a pilsner glass. A big one finger fine white head on a c;ear straw. The head diminished to a thin layer that stuck around. Lots of patchy lacing.
Grains in the nose. The taste is grains, lemon and bread. Sweet malts and a crisp noble hop finish.
A light body and strong carbonation. Overall a solid pilsner but a bit thin. should be a good quencher.

473 mL can from the brewery; dated Apr 29 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a bright, clear pale golden colour, generating one finger of loose, bubbly white head that fizzles within ninety seconds. A thin collar is the only remnant, with no cap and scant lace production. The aroma is clean and inviting, offering up some grainy malts, lemon peel and grassy, spicy hops.
A decent, if unspectacular pilsner. It tastes of grainy pale malts, doughy sweetness and grassy hay, with flavours of lemon rind and spicy, herbal hops bringing up the rear. Grainy, grassy finish followed by a relatively dry aftertaste. Light in body, with moderately low carbonation that brushes softly against the surface of the palate; smooth, somewhat crisp mouthfeel. Drinking a few of these in a row wouldn't be a problem.
Final Grade: 3.66, a serviceable B grade. The Daily Pilsner is alright, but I don't think it stands up to its imported competitors, nor does it compare all that favourably to some of my favourite domestic pilsners. I can't point to any one particular fault; rather it's a bunch of very small issues that drag this brew down. The malt profile seems a bit thin, as does the mouthfeel - this is probably one of the weaker BTP brews I've tried to date, but I wouldn't discourage other pilsner lovers from giving it a go.

Sitting in the fridge for 2 months. No date on the can.
Poured a light beer color. Very clear and filtered.
A little bit of foam that 100% went away within 2 minutes.
Taste is light and easy to drink. Not a whole lot going on except some malty taste to it.
Almost " Bland Macro Tasting " but i think the slight malty flavor saves it from that.
Won't say I'd get it again unless there's not much more to choose from, and Steam Whistle Pilsner is always around.
I know they can do better than this for a pilsner.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Ottawa, Ontario brewery, and for 2025...

These guys usually do better. This one is just a miss. Looks okay, like your basic pilsner. But just off tasting. Too doughy, too much bite. Not your typical pilsner, but not in a good way.
