My! my! this is smooth and good mouthfeel. Smooth and though a sipper because of the booze, there is a good level of satisfaction.thanks for the hookup, jason.

Ah what a bummer to read the 1st review here, had a different experience. Thanksgiving 2019 here. Abv on this website says 12.9%. Our bottle picture clearly says 14.1%.

Pours a brown color, rich. Color of caramel. Again, for whatever reason, a lot of these big boozy Thanksgiving beers sucked at head formation. This one was better than the ones before it, as it managed to amass something akin to a mild film of head in the 1/8" range. Nice aroma of whiskey for sure here, mild hopping for an American barleywine, I think this will speak to English barleywine fans well. No surprises other than the lack of hoppy bitterness. Plenty of boozy notes, lower carbonation, leather bound books abound going on here.

Taste was a caramel, nougat kind of impression. Mild sweetness possibly rye barrel influence to that degree causation wise. Its a very rich caramel experience, light brown malt impression. Its good stuff, but it does have a high price tag and it isn't life changing. Not bad but there are slightly better quality BA barleywines that are slightly more affordable and available.

500ml bottle from the brewery that cost $16. I think I was buzzed when I bought this. Appearance is a brown murky, floaty mess. This is truly an ugly beer. Aroma is grains and booze. Flavor is thin and bad. This was a bad beer pretty much all around.
