Had this during the June 2019 Denver trip. Towards the back end. 1st review of this beer on BA.
Poured an amber color, I expected something lighter, definitely darker than your average saison. 1/3" off white head. Aroma had some apricot. Wouldn't stay it was the saison like yeast that came through. Was belgian, but couldn't really discern saison or tripel.
Taste was good and more saison like, despite it being maltier than desired. Apricot still pushing weight. Its like when a kid who should be getting A's in class, but instead rolls up with a B-. Like come on man, you can do better than that. The sweetness I would like to trade for a more dry, yeasty saison. Mildly tart, could use more of that too.
Its just one of those reviews where I liked the beer, but I saw even greater potential for it if they just abided by style guidelines a little bit more. Apricot would probably stand out moreso too.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
