Had on tap. Pitch brown opaque pour with a tan head and crowned crowning. Smell and taste are clones: toasted caramel malts, roasted nut, and earth, fine flavors but very little depth for style. Feel is thin and malty, warming and smooth at least but want more body here, finish is surprisingly crisp with a hop kiss

I enjoyed everything about this beer except the mouthfeel. The taste was nice - a little crisper than many nut browns, with a little bit of pine lingering on the tongue. It is considerably lighter-bodied than any brown ale I have had, and that makes this come off a little more timid than it should be. The taste is very fitting for the brewery's surroundings, but it needs to be a little bolder.
