March 31st, 2015 - Oggi's Paradise Pale is not a complex brew, but not bad either. There's a slight happiness with a bit of grapefruit at most. The carbonation is strong and supportive, with a good depth of hops. As the taste proceeds in gets a little sweeter, bringing in bubble gum and grapefruit. And that's about it. Minimal but tasty, it works well with the smell of pizza in the world.

On tap at Oggi's Pizza and Brewing Company in Santa Clarita, CA.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt and some herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with some earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the smell is pretty mild.

Poured from a draft into a pint glass at Oggi’s in Santee, Calif. About a finger of head when I got it. Color was on the brighter side of orange. Light white lacing on the top. Hardly any film on the sides of the glass.
Smelled typical pale ale notes, albeit light. Bread, grass and grainy. Also some light lemon citrus hops at the very end.
Taste was similar to the nose with bread, grass, lemon citrus hops and some grains coming in there. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Pretty average taste overall.
Medium body. Watery texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish.
Just an average pale ale overall. There are plenty of better beers on the market. Skip it.

On-tap at Oggi's Tustin
A: The beer pours a light amber color with a small off-white head.
S: Lots of citrus hop notes to the nose with a big of pine and grass. A bit on the sweet side with plenty of bread, toasted malt, and some toffee malt aromas.
T: A pretty harsh bitterness to the beer which just isn't pleasant. Piney hops with some grapefruit and grapefruit peel. Some malt flavor to it, definitely a bit of toast and bread, but not much sweetness.
M: Medium in body with a moderate to high carbonation.
O: The aroma wasn't too bad, but the bitterness was just too abrasive.

Pours a dark golden color, small creamy white head. Clear body, light fizzyness. Hoppy malty aroma. Hoppy somewhat piney taste. Bitter, almost acidic. Warming up less acidic, but I'm not fan of the malt-hop flavor combo present here.
