No head. No lace. Cherry juice color. Clear.
The smell reminds me of cranberries, slightly tart and fruity.
The taste starts off with a touch of sweetness but the finish does draw out the beet flavor. I hate beets, but the sour kick makes this "beer" work. Not as sour as a Lambic but all of the elements are here. Overall, I love finding new and original beers. This fits the bill. Even though it doesn't rise to the level of great, it is worth trying at least once.
