Pours a not-quite-clear light brown with nice bubbles and a couple fingers of head. The head smells citrusy. The rest has a complicated smell; slightly piney with some citrus. Tastes hoppy and a bit dank with a nice carbonated mouth feel.

During my wife's and my recent beer/wine/triathlon vacation in NZ we decided to stop into Good George for some brew and pizza. Between my wife and I, we had several of their offerings in a single sitting since we had nowhere else to be.
This beer pours a golden amber hue that is clear with easily visible carbonation that is moderate in nature, and is graced by a white, frothy head that dissipates slowly to a thin lacing that is almost non-existent. 3.5/5 The aroma is very hop forward, as it should be, with notes of lemon rind and fruit, oranges, and grapefruit. There is a light breadiness that acts as an undertone but that is it for the malt. This is a very hoppy and clear aroma that represents the style nicely. 4/5 The flavor profile, once again, leans heavily toward the hops with a light caramel leading that way but quickly transitioning to oranges and tangerine notes. Lemon fruit and peel quickly come out after the oranges before once again transitioning, this tine to a light grass and herbaceous character that provides a moderate bitterness that lingers lightly after swallowing. 4/5 This is a medium bodied beer that is crisp and moderately drying. It lingers lightly on the palate after swallowing and features a light carbonation burn on the very front of the tongue. 3.75/5 This is a very good IPA with an interesting emphasis on the lemon rind and fruit. The focus is quite definitely on the hops, as it should be with this style, with the citrus character coming out quite strongly and pleasantly. 3.75/5
