16 ounce can dated 6/28/18. Poured into tulip.
Pours pink orange hue, 1.5 fingers of just off white head. The nose is light aromas of cherry, citrus, tart acetic bite.
Taste is at first a tart cherry, then tartness, lime, light funkiness. Everything about the beer, taste wise, is light.
Mouthfeel is light, effervescent, the bubbles carry away the beer from tongue.

Nice appearance, with a nearly opaque pink-orange brew topped with a strong head.

Aroma implies the notes hinted by the description, in particular musty rustic notes, cherry, and a slight sourness.

On the palate, it falls a touch flat, with a reasonable saltiness but far too restrained sourness - and very little from the cherry or lime.

Very refreshing and lively.

Straight pour from a 32oz flip-top amber glass “howler” to a small-ish, stubby, stemmed tulip (old Swamp Head glassware). This was filled one day before consumption at the source, and promptly went into the fridge until drinking. (Notes transcribed later, after taking them.) Freshy-fresh.

Appearance (4.75): Pouring leads to a two-finger, light pink head that’s soft and shows decent retention (particularly for the style). Still, it dissipates to a thin collar at the surface. The body is a glowing, deep pink, like watermelon juice, and fairly hazy—but not quite opaque. Absolutely gorgeous.

Smell (4.0): Light and bright lactic acid, a little coriander, the clear, strident citrus character of lime juice, and just enough cherry sweetness to flesh out the body. That lactic tang shines over all, in the end.

Taste (4.5): The acidic blend of lactic and citrusy snap rule from start to finish: the beer comes in with an almost Greek yogurt-like sourness, funky but acidic, and moves to the midsection, off of the sour and onto the soft, floury wheat malt. The malt character turns into a bready note, like common crackers. Slight cherry sweetness, cut by lime bitterness, follows. That lime acidity follows through to the finish. On the mid-palate, the fruitiness slightly precedes the wheaty malt base, but soon they mingle together fairly evenly. A modest saltiness hangs out on the side all along, nicely complementing the fruity and bready flavors, drying them out slightly with that savory side.

Mouthfeel (4.0): Immediately from the get-go, the sour and salty notes dry out and lighten the slightly light- side of medium-weight body. Fine, tingly carbonation washes in, covers all surfaces, and then washes out with an even lighter-weight body.

Overall (4.25): This beer an absolute joy to drink, for me. Way too easy to drink, frankly. The mix of a nice, wheaty gose with the sweetness of the cherry and the acidic twang of the lime juice makes for an absurdly refreshing drink without any of the potentially off-putting characteristics of the gose style. I love the concept, I love the execution, and I love the finished product.

A gose on tap at the brewery.

Pours with a cloudy reddish-copper body topped by a weak head that leaves little lacing.

Near full, smooth body with well set carbonation.

Complex and appealing spicy and fruity aroma.

Fine flavor with good balance, moderate tartness, and very good complexity. Cherry and lime notes.

O: an excellent gose worth seeking out.

One of the most awesome named beers. Pours a light pink with a small white head that goes away quickly. Has a light fruity smell. Has a sour cherry lemon lime taste.

4oz pour at brewery, after that 32oz growler fill shared few hours later. Pours a unique light pinkish semi cloudy strew yellow with nice lingering white head. Smells exactly what a true traditional German Gose should, nice pleasant soury aroma. Taste is Just about perfect! I've had my share of Gose style beers and this might just be the best I've had yet! I mean this beer showcases what is great about American craftsmanship, crafting something better then the past. 4.90. The only flaw with this beer is it's name. Please rename it, can it at $11.00 a 6, send it out so we can all try this! We will all be rewarded. 4.90

Poured from a growler into a snifter. A good looking beer, light pinkish hue that looks great. Not a whole lot on the nose, a slight cherry note and you know it'll be tart. The taste is great- just enough tart and salt with shades of cherry. Didnt know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Great job.

Really enjoyable brew (local for me). There is a slight tartness, but an excellent balance overall that makes this beer so crisp and refreshing. I have ordered it about 4 or 5 times now

32 oz. growler poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy light orange/pink. Sunset-colored. No head, really. Very thin collar.

Smell - Light cherry. Some grain. Mild citrus acidity and a bit of an herbal note. Maybe spiced? Coriander? Can't really discern.

Taste - Lime is much stronger here. Shades of the cherry come through, but not much. Pleasant tartness. Grain. Kinda salty, too.

Mouthfeel - Medium low carbonation. Light body.

Overall - Pleasant beer.
