Brewed in honor of a friend and a mentor who helped Triptych in so many ways back in its formative years.
Named after our friend's children, it is a pale lager featuring Czech Saaz hops. Weighing in at 4.9% alcohol by volume with a very crispy attenuation of over 82%, this beer also has the honor of being the first decoction mashed beer to be released at Triptych. This traditional, but intense, mash process amplifies the pilsner malt backbone of this wonderful lager. The Saaz hops provide mild herbal notes with a pleasant, restrained bitterness through the finish.

Appearance: Pours a clear goldenstraw with a two finger head; decent retention with squiggly lacing
Smell: Herbal, grassy hops with green apple and a lemony edge
Taste: Crusty white bread forward with the green apple and lemon flavors emerging; the middle brings the grassy flavors and the finish is crisp, dry and rather herbaceous
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: A nice, clean Czech pils with a good flavor profile
Thanks, falloutsnow, for the opportunity

16 oz can into a pokal.
L: SRM 3 pours very light straw yellow with a thin white head, VG retention, very steady large carbo bubbles, head gets creamy and grows slightly, light webby lacing with med-light banding.
S: Quite bready, fruits, a note of apple, a hint of white grape.
T: Fruity, apple, a yeasty white bread note, white grape, distant pear, light grains.
F: Crisp medium-light bodied feel with a medium-short gently drying finish.
O: Extremely tasty, lovely bready aroma along with a deliciously light and fruity taste. It is refreshing, quenching, and is crafted to be in parallel with some of the best. It is outstanding in its style.

Clear pale gold body, tow fingers of pearl white head, bands of lacing. Smell is lead by piney and herbal hops with lemon, cracker, and light grain. Taste is distinctly more herbal but now has a hint of onion, with plenty of lemon, crisp yet pale malts, grainy yeast and crust. Feel is light and pale, not much behind the hops but drying and quenching

Canned 8/8/23; drank 10/15/23 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge off-white head; frothy lacing remained.
Lemon, pine & faint wheat notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Wheat bread, lemon & mild pine flavors. Easy drinking & flavorful. I'd have another!

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle saaz hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright crisp malt base and saaz hop flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

A review from the hotel room!
Loreni by Triptych Brewing, a Pale Lager (Could not find ABV on can).
I enjoyed this beer quite a bit, although it is outside the normal realm of what I would buy. I wouldn't buy this beer all that frequently, but that's not because it is a bad beer, it is just a bit outside of my usual preferences. The hops are more present than I would prefer with the style, and it comes off a bit dry for me.
Smell: Stale hops, stale AAL beer, old used socks, Onion, Slight pine.
Taste: a bit like an AAL with a Czech pilsner hop backdrop (which makes sense based on the hops used). Not familiar with pale lagers to know if this is typical for the style, or a riff on a "classic".
Color: The photo speaks for itself. I'd call it somewhere between yellow con, pale straw with a hint of pinesol and pale green pea.
Overall: A good beer that seems to achieve what is is striving for.
I haven't put it into BA yet (that's next), but I'd give this a 4.3ish to style (although I am no expert on style). Enjoyment: I'd give it closer to a 3.9.
