Hana was first developed and grown in the Hana area of Czech Moravia. The barley used in this beer was resurrected from a seed bank then grown and malted in Indiana at a third generation family farm called sugar creek malt. With a traditional decoction mash and Czech Saaz hops, this beer offers a perfect balance of gentle grainy notes and a touch of lemon sourdough. Indulge in the flavors of the past with each sip of our Indy Hana Lager.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had strong corn mash notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp corn mash malt base with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Aroma is spicy Czech hops and beery/grainy malts. The flavor is mild fruit/berries and a long beery malt/spicy Czech hop/slight bubblegum sweet finish.

16oz can served in a plastic Holiday Inn cup. Canned on 05/12/23. Got it from @FBarber last night.

Pours clear pale golden with a generous head and some impressively uniform carbonation, sustaining a thick, creamy layer just shy of a centimeter thick. Smell is mild, light refreshing lemon notes. Something green and leafy, lightly grainy and yeasty.

Taste is interesting. Definitely some grainy / bready notes, some grainy sweetness, an interesting sour/spicy twist, grassy / vegetation bitterness.

Mouth feel is a combination of dry and soft. Overall, very interesting, very enjoyable, very crushable.
