A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint medium bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy bright white head that reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the entire remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of herbal, floral, tropical/papaya, and citrus/grapefruit zest hops over the top of moderate aromas of bready + biscuit + lightly toasted malts with minimal amounts of sweetness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of bready + biscuit + lightly toasted malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by a light presence of light fruit (white grape) lager yeast. Finally there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of herbal, floral, tropical/papaya, and citrus/grapefruit zest hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving floral + herbal hops flavors lingering.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and nicely crisp + refreshing. Enjoyable though not getting as much fruitiness as I would have expected for an IPL dry-hopped with Motueka.
