Poured a cloudy orange body with one finger head and lace on top of an aroma that has both a strong citric hop presence and prevelant yeast strain sticking out along with some spices. Smooth, easy to drink, light body, some sweetness in there from yeast as well a touch of fruit (tropical?) and possible candi sugar. Good spices and a strong hop presence keep it balanced and give it a hoppy, crisp finish. Interesting beer as I'm not sure I'd call it a saison but I'm not really sure what kind of beer it is.

Poured on-tap at Trophy and served in a stemmed pint, the beer was an opaque, orange-copper coloring with a halo of white head. Nose of cedar, pepper, and resin. Hoppier than I was expecting. Flavors of pine pitch, grass, and pine tassel forward, with a resinous backbone, and spices throughout of lemon pepper, lemongrass, and cloves. Smooth and light, with an aftertaste blend of spices. Lingering, smooth finish. Very different, very tasty beer.

Servered from a 32 oz growler into snifter.

A-A clean amber/copper color with a nice 1-1.5 finger head that leaves some nice lacing.

S-Tropical fruits and citrus hops dominate the nose with hints of caramel malts and saison funk.

T-Nice smooth and sweet malt character open up the flavor profile an transitions into the pineapple and mango flavors that is juxtaposed with a mild bitterness from the hops. Also catching a little bit of that traditional saison funky/barnyard taste on the back end.

M-Smooth and juicy, heavier than average body for the style. Slightly above average levels of carbonation.

O-Great beer, not your traditional saison more of a hybrid IMO, but still an excellent brew.

@ Trophy

Served a foggy garnet colored body with a head than quickly settles to a white ring. Juicy citrus and pineapple aromas upfront followed by light Belgian yeast, grass, and a doughy sweetness. Zesty, peppery citrus flavor, sweet through the middle, with some ripe, fruity esters. Tingly, fairly crisp, and medium bodied. Not super farmhouse-y, but juicy and pretty tasty overall.
