blonde farmhouse ale brewed with sassafras leaves from our property. Light and effervescent with a citrusy finish from the leaves.

On tap at The Beer Temple. I enjoyed File', but not enough to pay $9 (plus tip) again.
Scratch is a big experimenter with terroir. And I don't mind paying for the expansion of brewing. Of the four saisons I've had from Scratch, each had some natural element from their farm (Leaves, branches, mushrooms and, now, sassafras.)

File' Looks fresh and full of life. Smells are largely barnyard funk, but a lemony fruity takes over. Tastes are balanced with the sweet checked by herbs, funk. Refreshing. Medium-mouthed. Probably pairs with limited foods because of the lemon and funk. Would I have it again? Not at that price.

Very earthy and yeasty farmhouse here...

Brewed with sassafras leaves...can't say I detect anything there except the earthiness?

This one is pungent and probably not for everyone...think super funky Belgian farmhouse....

I liked the beer ok...the wife was done after one sip but its a very funk forward beer.
