A little more dry and I'd really like this. Hops come forward more on the taste profile. Kind of a dull finish. Overall pretty tasty. I'd like to see what some more time does to the sweetness.

Bottle: Poured a clear light yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light citrusy notes with some sauvignon notes. Taste is lighter then I was expecting with light hoppy notes with citrusy undertones and a light finish. Body is light with good carbonation. A bit short on flavours and the Nelson Sauvin hops are not shining as much as they could.

The Nelson Sauvin hops do their thing here. A very nice nose, featuring tropical fruit and a bit of dankness. Flavour-wise, the has a notably sweet side, with a honey flavour, though offset somewhat by the hops. Light fruits and a slight weedy flavour, along with a touch of bubblegum. Finish is on the bitter side. Quite good, and a significant improvement over Sunlight Park, the only other Left Field saison I am aware of.

On tap at the source. Nelson hops and saison yeast make this a bright and complex saison, worth seeking out for local saison fans. Lightly tart,lemony.
