355 mL can from the LCBO; packaged Mar 4 2021 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear golden-yellow colour, topped with one finger of loose, bubbly white head that disintegrates in about two minutes' time. A few strands of lace are flung about in the process, which also leaves behind a soapy collar and thin, filmy cap - looks fine to me. It smells of grainy malts and gritty wheat husks, accented by hints of fragrant spearmint and an understated lime zest acidity.
A solid beer-ified version of a mojito. Sour at the forefront, with lemon, lactic acidity and lime juice coming through first; the mintiness builds as the sip goes on, reaching an apex just before the finish. Subtle notes of wheaty grains lie buried underneath; lime-ade and lacto sourness reverberate into the aftertaste, as suggestions of spearmint also linger on, giving this beer a very fresh, almost invigorating feel. Light in body, with assertive carbonation that remains prickly and crisp throughout the session, suiting the mojito theme well. It's pretty drinkable - I could've gone for another, but (like most sours, and all mint beers) it's not something I could stick with all night.
Final Grade: 3.98, an impressive B+. Left Field's Lo Viste isn't the first mojito beer I've had the chance to try, but it is by far the best one, deftly balancing its mint, lime, and sourness. Beers like this will naturally not be for everyone, but if you enjoy mojitos I figure this one is a pretty safe bet for you. I'd buy it again, and might even keep it stocked in the fridge this summer - I'm not always in the mood for a mojito, but it'd be nice to have a few of these on hand for when the mood does strike.

A rich gold or yellow with a slight haze. The head dissipates quickly leaving a thin ring around the glass. Aroma and taste Mojito sweetness balanced against the tart bitterness of a sour beer. Very little hop as expected.
