Piña Power IPA is loaded with El Dorado and Citra hops and packed with juicy pineapple pureé added during fermentation. Golden and hazy, and bursting with pear, stone fruit, and citrus flavours from the hops, Piña Power is a Gold Glove contending IPA.

Can: Poured a slightly hazy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing.Aroma of nice fresh pineapple notes with some citrusy hops notes. Taste is also a mix of citrusy hops notes with some fresh pineapple notes and light bitter notes in the aftertaste. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Interesting mix of flavors but juicer hops notes would have been even better.

Pours cloudy straw with a chunky, everlasting head. Ridges of foam stick to the glass. The aroma is of pineapple, grapefruit, lemon and cookie dough. The taste is of bitter citrus rinds and floral hops with plenty of pineapple, mango and other tropical fruit in the mix. The mouthfeel is full bodied with a coating of lupulin bitterness. The finish is highly bitter and lasts forever.
A very nice American IPA with pineapple added. Highly hopped and very bitter. A fantastic hop forward IPA.

355 mL can from the LCBO; dated May 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours hazy and turbid, its body pale yellow in colour and topped with nearly one finger of bubbly, frothy white head that collapses within two or three minutes. A serpentine band of lace has been splattered onto the glass, with a modest collar and filmy cap also remaining. Pineapple, grapefruit and lemon on the nose, with hints of mango, stone fruit and piney hops.
It's pretty solid, both as an IPA and as a pineapple beer - wheaty, bready pale malts serve as backdrop, with notes of mango and grapefruit teaming up alongside sweet, juicy pineapple puree flavours. This lasts through to the finish, which is pithy and somewhat resiny, but not particularly bitter; pineapple and grapefruit linger into the aftertaste. Medium in body, with a fluffy, juicy texture and fairly soft carbonation. Like most 6% IPAs, I would not call this outright 'refreshing', but on a hot patio it's getting darn close.
Final Grade: 3.8, a worthy B+. I tried Piña Power with tempered expectations, not being a big fan of pineapple in general... but then again, Left Field's proven track record of quality IPAs usually speaks for itself. Its pineapple flavours shine through brightly, and the hops are strikingly complementary - I believe this is a success as a pineapple IPA, even though it's not necessarily something I'd go out of my way for. Highly recommended to hopheads with a fondness for the fruit.

Pleasant ipa with balance of mild pineapple puree. On tap at the source. A bit better than Spearhead and those first fruit IPAs that did this. Otherwise unexceptional.

355 ml can served cold into a chalice. LCBO purchase for around $3.75 CDN.
Appearance - Bright yellowy color, plenty of haze and two fingers of white head that rest on top and don't quit.
Smell - Loads of fruity pineapple, fairly sweet. Traces of mango but it's a pineapple forward beer. Solid malt backbone backing everything up.
Taste - Pineapple again, juicy and sweet, just a hint of bitterness. A slight bit of wheat in the distant background, accentuated with a trace of mango. Juicy ripe pineapple the star for sure.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, carbonation a little on the light side and juicy as all get out.
Overall - It's one flavor and one dimension but man, did this ever get nailed as a pineapple IPA. Lots of flavor, good tropical juiciness and all around quite solid brew. Definitely worth a tipple if pineapple is your thing.

Body like a lemon creamsicle, completely opaque, forming a thick cloud white head with a few minutes retention.
Somewhat muted tropical fruit aromas of pineapple, mango, as well as pine.
Flavour is equally muted, again with tropical fruit and pine, the resin more prominent; prominent hop bitterness and a very dry finish; feel is soft and pillowy, medium body, medium carbonation; it's just a touch watery.
Inoffensive, not exciting, but it has good 'bones'.
