At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 355mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Packaged May 6/25. My fifth beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and third for 2025. Heartily approved by Gracie the cat...

Pours hazed straw with chunky, persistent head. The aroma is honey and lemon with some grassiness. The taste lemony hops and a light breadyness. Very light bodied with moderate carbonation. Light bitterness and grainy malts in the short finish.
A nice low ABV IPA. Watery but not too watery.

355 ml can served cold into a tulip. Canned September 18, 2024. This was forgotten about for a little while.
Appearance -Pale golden straw color with a couple of honey brown highlights. A finger and a half of foamy white head on top and good staying power.
Smell - Faintly lemon with a slightly soapy quality.
Taste - Very light with a slightly soapy quality. Lemon and a bit of other citrus makes its way in. Some earthiness and surprising bitterness there.
Mouthfeel - Very light bodied, good crisp carbonation and actually bone dry to close.
Overall - Serviceable among the micro-IPA subset, but wouldn't recommend, the light soapy quality loses this for me, although maybe a fresher can would mitigate this shortcoming.

355 mL can from the LCBO; dated Sep 18 2024 and served barely chilled. Reviewed from notes taken last December.
Pours a fairly clear straw yellow colour, kicking up less than a finger of loose, sudsy white head that collapses within sixty seconds. A thin collar and a few wisps of film are all that remain; very little lace production. Grainy aroma with hints of fruity hops: I'm getting apricot, mango, lemon and perfumy floral notes.
I am impressed at how much hop flavour they managed to pack into such a small package. Peach, apricot, pineapple and grape come through at the forefront, with notes of grainy pale malts, lemon pith and grassy, floral hops bringing up the rear. Mildly pithy, grassy finish that fades into a dry aftertaste. Light-bodied, with average carbonation that gives some bite to this brew's thin, frothy mouthfeel. Really quaffable, and unlike many session IPAs, I did not quickly become bored of it.
Final Grade: 3.59, a B grade. Is 2.8% low enough to qualify as a Low Alcohol beer? Practically speaking, it might very well be for most beer geeks - though I suspect folks who are avoiding alcohol for medical or health reasons may not agree. In any event, for an ultra-light session IPA, Skipper is actually quite flavourful, and I'd rank it above the handful of others I've tried in recent years. I don't personally see a reason to revisit this brew, but if you're a hophead looking to cut back on your calorie intake, you could do far worse.
