Circus Catch is a juicy, full bodied yet easy drinking IPA that’s packed with fruit-forward hop aroma and flavour. With Cryo Centennial and Cryo Pop hops in the whirlpool and Amarillo, Galaxy and Sabro for the dry hop, Circus Catch oozes pineapple, nectarine, cantaloupe and clementine qualities and is super aromatic and flavourful. You’ll flip for it!

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 355mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned May 2/25. My 18th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 9th for 2026. Enchantedly admired by Sundae the cat...

Pours cloudy peach with a rocky, shortlived head. The aroma is of pine tar and tropical fruit with some caramel sweetness. The taste is piney with some lemon and pineapple and some herbal, woody hop notes. Bread dough malt character in there through out. The mouthfeel is full bodied with light carbonation. Medium bitterness in the off dry finish.
An interesting old school west coast IPA meets new school IPA concept but a bit astringent.

355 mL can from the LCBO; dated Sep 11 2024 and served barely chilled. Reviewed from notes taken last December.
Pours a hazy lemon drop yellow, producing nearly an inch of loose, soapy white head that disintegrates within a couple of minutes. A frothy collar and filmy cap are the most notable remnants; sparse lace deposition. The aroma is fruity, featuring white peach, nectarine and pineapple, as well as notes of grapefruit, watermelon, lemon candy and floral, minty hops.
Good flavours, but nothing spectacular to report. I'm getting lemon, white peach and apricot, with lesser notes of grapefruit, orange and pineapple also coming through by mid-sip. There is some lightly floral, pithy bitterness on the back end, with stone fruit, lemon candy and coconut quickly fading into a mildly resiny, citrusy aftertaste that trends dry. Medium in body, with moderate carbonation that adds some prickliness to this brew's otherwise soft, smooth texture. Highly drinkable, but even with this small serving size, it's not at all practical as a session option.
Final Grade: 3.81, a worthy B+. Circus Catch is far from a world beater, but it was interesting enough to keep me occupied for a couple of innings. The stone fruit and citrus-heavy hop profile is right up my alley, with the Cryopop definitely adding some 'oomph' to the equation. Another solid IPA from Left Field, a brewery that rarely seems to whiff on their pale ales - all the more impressive, because they've brewed so many different ones.

355 ml can served cool into a pint glass. Part of the seasonal mixed 6 IPA pack. Canned September 11, 2024.
Appearance - Hazy pale golden color with a couple fingers of sparkly white head. Moderate retention time and a couple of cool swaths of lacing left behind.
Smell - Lots of pineapple with a touch of grape skins.
Taste - Some pineapple with a surprising amount of lemon, grainy backbone but the pineapple and lemon combo works pretty good. Medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Semi-dry finish.
Overall - Solid addition to any mixed six pack, at the same time nothing really stands out unless you love pineapple or lemon. With that said enjoyable and I would purchase if offered in singles.
