330ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£3):
Hazy, golden yellow colour with a 1.5cm, foamy white head with good retention & little reduction in size at all.
A funky & sour aroma with some yeast with plenty of fruits, namely orange & lemons, a little apple & a good floral aroma. The smell mellows out a little after a bit & has a nice balance.
Sour with a lot of funk, citrus & apple plus spice & yeast too. Some tropical fruits, mainly pineapple start to come through along with some grassy flavours & some herbal ones too, with some faint hops at the back.
Smooth bodied & light-medium with moderate to strong carbonation. It's quite sour throughout but thankfully doesn't seem overdone.
I quite enjoyed this beer, one of the better saisons I've tried although it's certainly not my favorite type of beer. A good beer and worth a try, particularly if you are a fan of the style.
