16.9oz bottle (date missing, but bottled in 2019) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a cloudy golden straw yellow color with an inch of white head that had good retention and light lacing.

The aroma had nice yeast at the front, a solid grain base, and just a touch of wood.

Same on the tongue, with the wood showing through more, and lingering for a few moments. The yeast had a nice spiciness.

The body was light, crisp, smooth, had good carb, and had a dry finish.

Drinkability was nice, an easy quaff for sure.

Overall, a very nice version of the style. If you see a bottle, grab it.

25oz bottle served in a Lord Hobo bulb glass. Beer is pale yellow gold and not quite clear. Thin aroma suggests a bit of sour cherry and unripe apple. Flavor has just a bit of tartness, but is pretty mild, with a thin, fizzy mouthfeel and a fruity flavor. Not terribly oaky but I do get a kind of chardonnay vibe.

This bottle was well aged. Bottled on May 01, 2019 apparently.

how is this my first beer from these guys?! i have bought a bunch of them, must still be in the cellar, but i could swear i have had a few. anyway, this is really nice stuff, 16 bucks for the big bottle, incredibly lively in the glass, almost clear golden with a lot of fast rising bubbles freaking out, and a high white head with a very slow fade, thick like whipped egg whites, the bubbles never settle, and the brightness is there on the palate too, pretty much exactly what i want a saison to look and feel like! i wouldnt be surprise if this was aged in white wine, it smells fruity and tannic in that way, lime and lemon, green tea, slate minerals, light brine and even green olive to it, white pepper and a french yeast ester, but some light funk as well, bretty and maturing but not wild yet, dry though, some lemon curd, hay and straw, green grass too, and some white wheat, maybe a little tartness as well, but this is wet and fluffy and drinkable, not a sour beer at all. it warms up well, but increasingly belgian rather than funky to me, high citrus and lots of minerals, simple on the grain side but all very good to me, super clean and well refined to finish, and so alive on the palate. really well made beer, a huge confidence builder for me, since ive been buying them on faith, ideas, and art to now apparently. loved this, could drink the whole bottle to myself easily. looking forward to the other bottles i have from them even more now! great and understated saison, very expressive, springy, and approachable. yum!

Faithful and True is an oak aged saison. It's quite fruity, mostly apricot. The appearance is golden yellow with a light head. The smell is mostly apricot, and some yeast. The taste is apricot, and the oak kicks in there. It's a refreshing effervescent beer. Nicely done.
