Picked this up recently at Gary's in Wayne as I never had anything from Shebeen before. Love my milkshake beers from Tired Hands and similar brews from Other Half and 450 North but this was only a few notches below those as it was smooth, sweet, and easy to enjoy while being full-bodied.
The pour to this was arguably this brew's best aspect as it had a murky, golden appearance that was clear of any sediment, in keeping in line with what a good New England IPA should look like. Vanilla cream, tangerine, and a bit of Simcoe were in the nose as the taste was overtaken by the sweetness and light tangerine that seemed to make this like the real thing and not a beer. Hints of a real milkshake or ice cream soda were here, and that was fine except if I wanted one, I would have grabbed those instead. Not a lot of carbonation here as the malt and some dank hops were left in the aftertaste, once the brighter notes subsided.
Not a lot of booze in this as this had the right amount of heft in it, with just a hint of citrus rind and hops that stayed for the duration, as a reminder than indeed, this was a malted barley beverage. No date, nor anything else, was written on the bottom as I had no idea how fresh this was but it felt and tasted it as there weren't any floaties in it, - which can be the case with brews of this sort. Glad to give this a go and this would be a fine nightcap for someone who can't get one of the leading examples of this style!

Poured from a 16oz can into a footed cocktail glass.
L - Hazy yellow orange color
S - Slightly malty with a nice orange vanilla aroma
T - Almost like a Stewart's Orange Cream soda meets a NEIAP.
F - Medium mouth feel, but coated well.
O - A little sweet, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I would buy again.

If you ever had Other Half’s Double dry hopped Cotra Daydream (very highly rated 4.51 on BA and one of OH highest rated beers) this is almost as good! Not kidding, its a clone.
Look is not as cloudy as I would expect, but tje smell & taste is fantastic! Mouthfeel is nice with some creaminess. Overall its a great beer! If you like citra hops but want the bitterness and cat piss flavor mellowed this is tje beer is for you!

Look was fine. A little lighter than expected. Not as hazy as other milkshake stouts I've tried.
Smell was very good like someone was burning a fragrant candle.
Taste was too much vanilla. I whined my way through drinking it, and I couldn't finish it because it was just too much vanilla. A little artificial. My wife is a chef, and she agreed. She didn't whine though.
Feel was ok.

Compared to other milkshake IPAs I've had, this one lacked haziness and mouthfeel. None of the Citra hops came through in the nose; rather, I detected a yeasty banana. Vanilla certainly shines through on the tongue, and the taste is perhaps a bit too sweet/treacly. Still, a delightful beer.
