On tap at brewery:
I've had this before and am surprised I didn't review or rate it.
This beer looks great, an auburn clear body that has just the slightest ruddiness to it at some angles. Not too much initial head, but a thin rim sustains.
Nose is a bit boozy, and I think it's the barrel, but it has a fusel aspect to it. I don't recall this from previous attempts. Dark fruit like fig and less-sweet date, and the bread that might be made using these ingredients.
Taste is thankfully not as alcohol-forward while still showing the whiskey and barrel fairly prominently. Bourbon, caramel, date, vanilla extract make up the front. A lightly woody bitterness tried to balance late, with no more than moderate success.
Today's beer was half flat, which detracted a tad from the taste, but thankfully not much. I also don't recall this in the past, so maybe it's a batch or keg thing. Feel will go lower if this repeats next time I have it, as it may be a trend.
Yet another AT beer I'll grab a glass of each time I see it. I could easily go to 4.25 if the feel were better. If the booze weren't as prevalent, another notch or two there. As mentioned, the feel go drop lower, though. Definitely need a revisit to clarify these thoughts.

On tap at Adroit. Pours a deep golden amber. Lots of fruit and sweetness in the smell and taste. The barrel comes out in the taste, adding a layer of complexity on top of the base. The fruit really stands out in the taste. Smooth.
