A bottle sent to me by generous BA jvgoor3786 before Christmas. I don't see a bottle date, neck label states bottle 176 of 300, aged in Mezcal barrels. Pouring it in my 13oz. tulip glass.
Look- Pours a super lively dark gold color leaving four fingers of frothy white foam despite a careful pour. Beautiful lacing forms as the head settles.
Smell- A hint of mango and some bready malt.
Taste- Mango up front followed by some malt and a hint of tequila in the finish.
Feel- Slick with a tingly bitter bite and semi dry finish.
Overall- A pretty solid beer. A nice balance between the mango and malt backbone. The tequila was a little weak and perhaps more time in the barrel could take this up another notch. Still tasty and worth a try.

This is a mango forward IPA with mezcal undertones. Floral hop bitterness in the nose with vanilla from the oak barrel and just a hit of mezcal. Mezcal is a bit more prominent as the beer warms. Sturdy hop bitterness but I would not say this is a "bitter beer." The tropical fruit, especially mango, cuts through the bitterness to add a nice sweetness. Mezcal lingers on the tongue along with some vanilla.
