The beer pours a nice white head that takes a while to dissipate and when it does, it leaves some on the surface. The beer itself is a nice and clear medium amber gold color. The color has a nice metallic hue that makes it fairly appealing.
The smell is good and fairly balanced. It has a nice moderate Belgian spice and yeast note that is nicely balanced by the bitter hop note. The hop note is a bit on the bitter orange side that borders on grapefruit with a hint of citrus. It's a fairly good smell; it isn't too simple or overly complex but gives you something to work with.
The taste is also good and balanced. It has the same orange/grapefruit bitter note balanced by a moderate Belgian spice and yeast note. The taste has a nice orange finish.
The feel is good. The beer has a medium body but feels a bit lighter and has biting carbonation that gives a nice texture. There is a medium dry finish.
Overall, a fairly good Belgian IPA and worth getting your hands on if you are in the area. While it trends a bit more towards an American IPA, it's still pretty good with enough notes to make it a Belgian IPA.
