Technically not a new beer, but in advance of brewing a production batch of this beer, we brewed two tweaked versions of this beer that we released last month. And these two are even better than the original! Prominent tropical flavors of orange, papaya, and gooseberry lend way to this style's soft bitterness. An accessible that bridge that satisfies any beer drinker's indulgences.

Wanted to make this an all-encompassing EBK entry, but they are experimenting with the recipes, and 3.0 differed from 2.0 enough...
These NE IPAs still are not appealing to look at for me, but if you like the look, this one is likely closer to a 5 for you. Head is decent with a couple clouds of lace.
Nose is hugely orange and pineapple, with a helping hand from grapefruit and passionfruit (sand tartness). Boldly fragrant, there's also a nice little note of pine wood bitterness.
Taste is similar, but with a slight spice tickle, and a fruit ribs bitterness more than pine wood. The very end taste and lingering bitterness are a tad piney, though.
Feel is a slight bit lighter than other NE IPAs I've had, but not by a whole lot.
Actually a tad surprised AT pulled this off, I expected it to be thinner. It's a pretty decent representation of the "sub"style, IMHO. Might lean a little bitter and ever so slightly "hot" compared to others I've had.
For those reading:
I felt the 2.0 had a bit more grapefruit and a mildly thinner feel, along with just a skosh more heat.
