16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, guava, orange and caramel sweetness. Great fruity taste with tropical notes, toasted caramel and a sharp, piney bitterness.

From the pint can, it pours a milky amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces to a thin ring. The nose revels in citrus scents, primarily orange. The mouth follows with a creamy mouthfeel, with a slight sourness to it and notes of orange and other citrus flavors.

16oz can into a tall glass. Canned 3/27/24, so 2 months old.

Hazy orange body, excellent head retention scattered lacing. Aroma is quite hoppy, a touch of fruit. On tasting, smooth, creamy, slightly sweet, and the hop profile seems to weave itself in and out during the drink. Finish is warming and slightly sweet

Overall, a beer that grew on me. Lactose is added, which explains the sweet, smooth, and creamy.

From a can dated 03/29/2024. A lovely DIPA. Very soft on the palate and finish. No heat at all from the 8.0 abv. While the label notes the use of lactose, it is relatively subtle. The bottom of can says “Favorite Killer.” I can see why…this is very pleasant to drink.

L - hazy straw yellow with a creamy white head that sticks around for a while and leaves behind a good amount of lacing
S - tropical fruit notes along with lactose and piney hops
T - soft tropical fruit notes - pineapple, orange, guava - intermixed well with piney hops, and sweet lactose. Good amount of malt
F - full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy
O - standard soft NEIPA with lactose. Good.

Excellent head production and retention.

Lovely hop-forward aroma, reminiscent of Citra, with a strong amount of citrus, some sharp green herbal notes, and a light undercurrent of tropical fruit. Orange, lemon drop, grapefruit, melon.

Flavor inverts the balance, leaning more tropical while retaining some amount of citrus. Mango, papaya, melon, pineapple, mandarin orange, lemon. Really tasty.

Smooth and creamy on the palate. Really nails the style.

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in September 2022. Adroit Theory Ghost lists this as can #3986 out of 6000. There was a canned date of 08/08/2022 on the bottom of the can. I drank less than 2 weeks after purchase.

Appearance: Medium gold color with 2-finger white head. It is deep with a very hazy complexion. The head is very thick, and it lasts a minute, leaving a small covering. There is a medium amount of lacing on the glass.

Smell: Strong aroma of pineapple and grapefruit, as well as some hops and pine. The aroma was moderately strong as soon as the can was opened. The fruit aromas are more prominent than the other aromas.

Taste: Nice balanced taste between the fruit (grapefruit and pineapple) and hops that is not overpowering. The sweetness and bitter edge are well-balanced. Has a very nice after-taste that lasts a moderate amount of time. Overall a nice balance and very drinkable.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied. Also, moderate average alcohol, which matches the 8.5% listed on the can.

This is a very good IPA. It has a nice mix of citrus, hops, and other flavors, which makes it enjoyable. The overall balance is excellent. Another great IPA from Adroit Theory. I would definitely buy this again.

Can dated 8/8/22 into pint glass. Pours a murky muted gold with a brief off-white head. Lacing is kind of weak. In other words, this one isn't much to look at. However...
Initial impression is juicy citrus, with grapefruit, orange, mango, and caramel dominating. Mouthfeel is thisk and juicy. Finish is a bit sweet, but quickly fades to a slight bitterness. Overall,I'd score this another excellent NEDIPA from Adroit Theory. I love their stuff.

Can't believe this is my first time having an Adroit Theory beer -- and I don't know what i was waiting for. Canned on 5/25/22 and pours a grapefruit juice-like gold and totally opaque with haze/lactose. Big, frothy head dissipates to thin lacing. Aroma of citrus, some banana, and maybe vanilla? Taste is sweet citrus with a slight bitterness that is subdued by the lactose. Great beer.

A: This poured a hazy gold with a little white head.
S: It smelled like mango and passion fruit, with some apricot and grapefruit and pineapple and dank grassy hops.
T: It tasted like apricot and grapefruit, with some mango and pineapple and bitter resin. It had a clean bittersweet aftertaste with some alcohol warming.
M: It was oily with moderate carbonation. Nice slick body.
D: This was a world apart from the other lesser IPAs I've had from Adroit. The scent and taste were bursting with clean and well balanced tropical fruits. The body was solid, but the finish was a bit hot, so it was better to sip. Not as creamy as most NE IPAs, and more tropical than straight citrus. But even if it isn't a true NE style, it was still fantastic. Recommended.
