L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and an opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of creamy, tan-colored head that lasted an average amount of time. Not much lacing, though.
S: A nice aroma of dark fruit, roasted malt, bourbon, and a little chocolate.
T; Tasted of a moderate amount of roasted malt, some of the advertised bourbon (not quite enough), some dark fruit (plums, in particular), and a hint of dark chocolate. The flavor here isn't quite as big and bracing as some imperial stouts, but is still subtly tasty. Complex and interesting.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: This beer has some minor flaws, but on the whole is drinkable. Worth a shot.
