Bomber from Tavour. Ghost 651, bottle 1055 of 3000. Black pour with patchy beige head. Aroma and taste reflect a huge roasty malt backbone, burnt toast bitterness. Simple and clean, straightforward. No adjuncts. Pure.

$ 15.98 (Including shipping)/22 oz bottle ($ 0.726) from Tavour, Seattle, WA. Reviewed 1/24/19.
“Bottled on 07/18/18, No. 2727/3000” on rear label. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 57 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 3.75.
Body – Dark brown/black, opaque. When held to the light, slight penetration occurs around the rim.
Head – Large (Maximum 5.3 cm, aggressive center pour), dark tan, medium density with rocks, good retention, diminishing to an irregular four to ten mm lacy ring and a rocky partial layer. A few tiny pieces of lacing remain as the head retracts.
Lacing – Poor – just a couple of irregular islands hanging on the sides.
First pour – Dark brown, clear.
Aroma – 4 – Baker’s chocolate, toffee, roasted malt. Not strong but definitely noticeable.
Flavor – 4 - Begins with slightly bitter baker’s chocolate and ends with alcohol wafting across my hard and soft palates. No diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3.5 – Almost medium, a bit short of creamy, lively carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 3.75 – An average Impy stout, a bit over-priced.
