Canned 06/24/20, 2333/6000. Pours black, with fairly dark brown head, creamy lacing. Smells roasty, hoppy and savory. Reasonably thick, creamy, but bit high carbed. Taste is bitter, roasty, and plenty hoppy / piney. Sesame gives nuttyness. Heavy and nice.

A: Jet black. Medium chestnut head, sponge cake dispersion, and long lasting.
S: Walking through a bake sale surrounded by lemon squares, blackberry pies, blueberry buckles, and double fudge brownies. Like any bake sale there are bound to be some burnt specimens sporting and ashy roast. Background cedar plank, light smoke, kitchen fire quickly put out. A pretty low hop aroma.
M: Smooth velvety. Umami richness begs another sip. Dangerously seductive, temptingly smooth for such a high abv. There's a good amount of carbonation. No astringency. Only knock is the lack of warmth especially for such high ABV.
T: Deep chocolate roast. Fudge brownies laced with sweet orange liquer. Lemon chiffon icing. Crumbled matcha tea Kit-Kats. Huckleberry gummi bears. Red bean mochi ice cream. Something exotic tasting you never knew you wanted until you bought it drunk from that Tokyo vending machine in a karaoke bar, and realized your life had all been a lie.
O: Maybe a bit light on the traditional pine/woodsy/citrus bitterness I get from most Black IPAs. More like a RIS or even a black saison with the forwardness of sweet summer berries and floral citrus. Less body and more drinkable than a stout, however. It's a ridiculously tasty beer regardless of the style.
