The 14th iteration in the series focuses on the JUICY end of the equation. Pillowy with some back-end-bitterness

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy, milky yellow/gold, one finger tight white head. Big citrus aroma with a heavy lean on the grapefruit. Taste is muted fruity, citrus flavors, oranges, but zesty. Almost creamy feel, with that snappy hop bite lingering long after.

Another fine hazy TIPA from the Evangelion series. Pours a lovely, hazy orange juice color with no head. Loads of boozy, candied orange on the nose and tropical softness on the tongue. Slightly sweet with a hop bite of citrus at the end. DDH’d with Mosaic, Citra, Bru-1 and Chinook hops.

Growler into pint glass. Pours a murky deep amber with a brief off-white head. Initial impression is juicy soft grapefruit, mango, and a touch of pine. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft. Finish is sweetish initially, fading to citrus. Overall, a very enjoyable NEIPA.

Canned 08/26/20, this pours cloudy yellow gold color with a 1-2 finger thick head that was off white in color and faded on the faster side, leaving minimal spotty lacing.

Smells dank and juicy with orange peel, faint lemons, grapefruit, tangerine, papaya and other tropical fruit. Some biscuit, caramel and floral notes plus some peppery spices like coriander or tea leaf add nice balance. Tastes pretty much the same but has additions of orange juice, fruity candy like Razzles or gummy bears, pineapple and some graham cracker in the finish. It’s a very smooth feeling brew even though it’s not thin and watery, and the bitterness level is perfect.

Looks were a little disappointing, but the drinkability and hiding of the 10% ABV make this a real winner in my book.

A: The beer is rather hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of stone fruit and gooseberry are present in the nose along with hints of pineapples.
T: The taste has flavors of pineapples along with notes of lychee and stone fruit with some hints of herbs. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed the flavors of pineapples that shined through in the taste of this IPA. It also hides its alcohol very well.

Hazy goldenrod with 2 fingers of white head, extremely minimal lacing.

Smell is muted orange, papaya, bready grain and some mango.

Taste is a balanced blend of orange, papaya, mango with some mineral and bread.

Feel is nice for the style, medium body, leaving a velvety soft feel with prickly carbonation.

Overall a solid NEIIPA and dangerously crushable at 10%.

L: Poured from a growler to a snifter glass. Had an orange / yellow color and an extremely cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Below average lacing.

S: A sweet and fruity aroma of hops, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, and malt

T: Tasted of bit of malt (mostly in the finish; a subtle presence), a good shot of citrus fruit (oranges, in particular), some hops (a below average amount; less than expected), and fair bit of tropical fruit (mango, especially). This is a sweet and quite likable flavor. Much more subtle than I expected, but definitely tasty.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.

O: On the whole, this is a solidly done, easy to drink beer. Worth a look.
